The love story of Joseph and Mary Ann began eight years ago when they were both young first-year college students at West Visayas State University (WVSU). Mary Ann pursued a Bachelor of Elementary Education, while Joseph took up a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. Their paths first crossed at the WVSU Reserve Officers’ Training Corps office, where they both dreamed of becoming cadet officers in the Philippine Air Force, THEY HAVE NO IDEA THAT A SIMPLE HIGH-FIVE on a random afternoon would begin their love story.
 

What started as a simple friendship soon blossomed into something deeper. They quickly developed a special bond and found comfort in each other’s presence. Their first date took place on December 1, 2018, at Jollibee Atria. Just a couple of weeks later, on December 16, 2018, they officially became a couple, beginning a journey that has only grown stronger with time.
 

Throughout their college years and beyond, they became each other’s source of strength and comfort. They stood side by side as best friends, confidants, and soulmates, supporting one another through every challenge life placed in their path.
 

One of the greatest trials they faced was distance. When Joseph moved to Canada, their relationship was tested by time zones and miles apart. While it was dinner time for Joseph, it was lunchtime for Mary Ann. When one was ending the day, the other was just beginning. Despite the distance, they remained deeply connected through countless late-night and early-morning calls, holding on to each other through every moment.
 

After two years of loving each other across continents, they realized that distance had only strengthened what they shared. With hearts certain and love unwavering, they made the decision to take the next step and get married.
 

Because in each other’s arms, they have already found their forever.
